After dilly dallying initially, Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren has finally agreed to join the inter-state Operation Green Hunt against Maoist guerrillas.
"We will have to launch the joint offensive against the Maoists. My government is of the view that providing security and maintaining law and order is the duty of the government. We condemn the Maoist violence in any form," Soren said in the state assembly.
The Chief Minister said this when Pradeep Yadav of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha-Prajantantik (JVM-P) sought the government's stand over Green Hunt.
Soren made it clear that Jharkhand too would also launch the operation. Earlier, it was said that Jharkhand is not too keen to join the Operatopn Green Hunt.
